As women, we know, that WE are exceptional creatures.
We are multi-taskers, thinkers, creators, believers, achievers and inspirational beings.
When women are determined and have passion and drive, there’s not much we can’t accomplish.
We can balance work, life, kids, schedules, expectations—all without breaking a sweat or a heel!
Here are some tips to think about as you begin and travel on your amazing entrepreneurial journey.
Take Care of Yourself
Make sure to take care of your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellness.
Being an entrepreneur requires so much of a person, and when you are balanced, your business can boom.
It’s important to make sure your mind is focused, you’re physically in a good place to devote your energy to building a business and that your business aligns with your life.
Confidence is Key Fullscreen Mode
When you doubt your business, and there will be those times, always remember your “why.”
Why are you in this business and what motivates you?
For me, my passion and drive to create and visually appeal to a consumer, is my “why.”
As an entrepreneur, we all go through stages of being overwhelmed and doubtful, but keep going and work through those feelings.
Live with Passion and Purpose
Always start with your heart. When you love what you do and have a mission and passion behind it, you’re driven, by making a difference, not driven by making a Rand. Striving to aim high financially is fine, but don’t let it be the reason you are in business. I live with my passion and purpose, and the business is ultimately about helping others and I’m serving my purpose.
Practice Mindfulness
When you’re an entrepreneur, you can get so distracted by everything you have going on in life and business, but focusing is accomplishing. It’s so important to focus, focus, focus.
Be in the moment and focus on what you are trying to achieve at that time. I have to remind myself not only to see my business at that moment but to embrace the successes and challenges and enjoy the journey in that moment of time. Know where to be time-efficient and understand where you need help – this will give you more time to focus.
Set Long-term Goals
Look at the big picture. My advice is to set a timeline for ideas or create an outline or business plan, but take everything day by day. Things do not always go as planned and you could be in a different place in five years, but idealistically, it is a good idea to set some goals, so you have a focus and target point.
Don’t ever think your goals are out of your reach.
Look at the big picture. My advice is to set a timeline for ideas or create an outline or business plan, but take everything day I don’t think I imagined what I am doing today, but am joyful at how things flourished. As a woman in my own business, I am enjoying the journey, learning each day, balancing all facets and trying to inspire others to know that they can achieve as well.
